Family Ministries Update

Dear Faith Families,

June flew by in a blink, but there were also some wonderfully relaxing days kicking the summer off. July is here and Happy Independence Day! I LOVE the 4th of July. I love our country so unbelievably much. It sometimes overwhelms me to think I get to be a part of this great experiment that was created 250 years ago. I am not much of a sports person, actually my whole household is pretty non-interested in sports; but watching how the world is  experiencing our great country, because of the World Cup is so much fun. People are getting to see and experience our delicious foods, friendly & loving people, and some of the most beautiful scenery displaying God's creation. As you celebrate this month remember that America's freedom is truly the only thing like it on earth.

We had a great time in June with our Welcome Summer Bonfire with s'mores, glow sticks, a great bonfire, and kids running and playing making their own games. It was a perfect night with a slight breeze, cooler temperatures, and clear skies. The conversations were wonderful and enjoyed by over 20+ families and friends. Thank you to Randy and Kitty Chapple for lending us your very awesome fire pit. .

We are looking forward to 26 people going to Family Camp on July 24-26 to Stronghold Camp in Oregon, Illinois. Please keep our 13 kids and 13 adults in your prayers for a fun, relaxing, safe and connected weekend.

A personal note: I will be having pretty significant abdominal surgery on July 6th. I ask that you keep me in your prayers for my doctor, nurses, and my healing. I look forward to feeling like myself again.
