About the Endowment Committee
The goal for the Endowment Committee is to provide grants to local not-for-profit groups and organizations, usually within (but not limited to) our local or Chicagoland communities. The annual budgeted amount of money available to Endowment Committee is based on a percentage of the prior year's earnings on the Endowment Investment funds held by Midwest Methodist Foundation. The Endowment Committee meets every other month.
Submitting a Request
All requests must be submitted to our committee by completing a "Request for Endowment Fund Grant" form. This form is available as an electronic form,a printable pdf, or you can get one from the church office.
Once we receive a request, it is reviewed by all members at our next scheduled meeting. A majority vote must be received for approval and the funding amount for that particular grant request. Letters are sent to both the approved grant requests (along with a check), and letters thanking groups and organizations who were not supported at that time.
