HOW DO THE TRUSTEES USE MONEY PLEDGED TO FAITH?
Our building is older and requires a lot of money for maintenance and operation. The money comes from two sources of income and is used in two different ways. The first source is from our general budget. The Trustees use a good portion of the money that is budgeted each year for the day to day operation of the church. This includes such things as electricity, heating, air conditioning, and purchasing needed supplies. Other expenses from this source include insurance, lawn care, and snow removal.
The second source is Maintain Faith. Our Maintain Faith Fund is used only to pay for capital improvements. Our building has a 20 year replacement cycle that includes large ticket items such as the roof, mechanical systems and repaving the parking lot. By our members adding $50,000 to this fund each year we avoid coming to you multiple times with capital improvements campaigns to raise this money. We have been able to accomplish much with this fund. We will be repaving the parking lot as funds become available.
So, as you can see, each of these sources of money are important. The Trustees rely on a portion of all the money that is pledged to the church. We appreciate everyone’s support to keep the building in great shape as a place of worship and a base we use to do the work of Jesus Christ.
