Hello Faith Families,
Can you believe summer is almost over? I mean, for those of us with kids, summer ended the middle or end of August, but still. I’ve often wondered do most people’s brains continue to think September – May, you know when the school year starts and ends? Maybe it is just me? As I am thinking about the new school year and what it will bring for our families at Faith UMC, I am getting very excited to have the kids back for another fun year of learning about how God works in our lives, the love Jesus has for each of us, and having fun while making some awesome friends at church.
THANK YOU to everyone who came out and/or supported the 25th Annual Tee-Up for Youth Golf Outing. I can’t believe it has been 25 years. We are truly blessed to have such an awesome supportive church, to make this amazing event such a success for our Family Ministries Programs. A HUGE Thank you to Sandy Ward, Linda Bitzer, Michelle Babics and our entire Tee-Up Committee for your dedication and devotion to this event. We truly could not have done it without you!
Here is what we have planned for September:
Busy Bee Family Ministry Idea Box:
We have plenty of programs planned, but maybe you have a really cool idea you would like to see our Family Ministries pro-
gram have here at Faith? Starting September 1st there will be a box that looks like a bee hive, outside room 4, under the Family Ministries section. Everyone will have the opportunity to leave your ideas, not just people with kids.
We can’t wait to see what might blossom and grow.
KICK OFF SUNDAY: September 7th 10am; Sunday School Begins Pre-K-High school. It will usually be available at both 9am & 11am on Sundays, but this week we are doing 1 combined worship service.
We are also looking for Sunday School assistance. Do you enjoy working with kids, but don’t want to plan or teach? We need
YOU! A sign-up sheet will be outside room 4, or you can see Ms. Amanda and she can let you know more information.
**High schoolers or NJHS students, do you need community service hours? You are always welcome to come and help at the 11am Sunday School class and earn 1 hour per week. **
Connect: Jr. & Sr. High Youth Group: Sunday September 21 @ 12pm – 1:30pm Fellowship Hall
If you are in 6th grade -12 grade, come and hang out as we have some lunch, make friends, play silly games, and plan what we want to do for the year together.
Our theme this year is how to have God in our life when the social media is saying it’s not cool.
We will meet one Sunday afternoon a month during the school year from 12-1:30. Each month we will have lunch ordered from a different restaurant. (Parents can drop kids off and enjoy some time to yourselves while we hang out.)
Family Fun: Sunday, September 28th 12:00-1:30, right after the 11am worship service.
Families of all shapes, sizes, and ages, come on out and meet other families & members from Faith. We will enjoy open gym with our “church friends,” coloring, blocks, and a few new surprises for free play, along with board games. We provide pizza, juice boxes, water, and chips. You are more than welcome to bring something to share, but not expected.
All ages (birth – 100+) are welcome to come and have some fellowship.
There will be a sign-up sheet outside of room 4 each month this year. (It is recommended, but not required to attend.) It will help us make sure we order the right amount of pizza.

September is going to be a great month to jump back in to Faith.
