Family Ministries Update
Hello Faith Families,
Wow it has been quite a month and I can't believe it's August already. I must begin by saying thank you to our Faith Family for all of your prayers, cards, care packages, texts, calls, and words of encouragement while I healed from my surgery. My heart was so full it has definitely helped with the healing. I missed seeing everyone throughout the week and on Sundays. I should be back to regular scheduled programming now, lol.
School should be starting towards the end of the month for most of us with kids and grandkids. Didn't we just start summer break, how can we have to go back to school already? It's always bittersweet, yah for school, but boo for no more lazy summer days. We are split in my house, 1/2 love school and 1/2 dread it every year. I love that they get to learn new things and make new friends. I loath rushing in the morning, I love our lazy mornings together.
It is still Summer at Faith though, so we are gonna take it slow-ish for a couple more weeks. But we do have a couple things to look forward to for our Families.

Backpack Blessing: August 16th during worship
Kids, teachers, para's, bus drivers, lunch ladies, admin, or anyone who works with kids: grab your backpacks, work bags, or just yourself and let us bless you for this coming school year during Faith Kids.

August 22nd Faith at the Lake & BBQ @ Ms. Amanda's:
2pm Cedar Lake Beach 7408 Constitution Ave. Cedar Lake, IN 46303
Ms. Amanda's House BBQ 4pm-7pm-ish (probably later) 15961 Wheeler St. Lowell, IN 46356 .
Let's go swimming in the lake, play on the beach, build sand castles for the afternoon, then head on down the street to Mrs. Amanda's new house and enjoy a BBQ of burgers and hot dogs. If you would like to bring a dish to share that would be wonderful. We will have some yard games and probably a bonfire. Bring a lawn chair to sit on, we have about 12, but that won't be nearly enough. Everyone at Faith is welcome. Sign up outside of room 4. You can go to both, just the beach, or just the BBQ. Hope to see you there. (Rain date August 29th.)
Kick-off Sunday September 13th
Sunday School will begin for kids Pre-school - High School during worship.
NEW All In Live Auction: September 20th 3pm-5:30pm (doors open at 2pm)
We are trying something new this year with our largest fundraiser for our Family Ministries programs. We will be having a Live Auction with new items donated and even more Auction of Promise items. Light refreshments, new this year, samples from the Auction of Promise items, & a Dirty Soda Bar, open for mixing up flavors of fun. Our Cork-pull for a bottle of wine. We will also have a silent auction, alongside our live auction, for items to be "new to you." Doors will open at 2pm to get a good look at our live auction items, silent auction items, grab some refreshments, and enjoy some fellowship before the auction begins at 3pm! We will accept Cash, Check, Charge, and new this year, Zelle. We will have entry tickets & auction paddles going on sale starting August 30th before and after worship.
