The Northern IL Conference Board of global ministries is coordinating with Midwest Mission Distribution Center to organize its annual conference collection drive for Midwest Mission’s most needed items.
Midwest Mission is one of seven cooperating depots in the UMCOR relief supply network. It is not funded or run by UMCOR but receives, assembles, and stores all UMCOR kits and distributes them upon request during disasters in the U.S. Midwest Mission is a non-profit organization that receives 100% of its funding from private donors.
Rita Bartak, Jim Simmons, and Sandy Ward will take the collected items to the collection truck at this year’s June 10-12 annual conference.
Items needed include:
- Liquid dish soap – 42-64 oz.
- Bars of soap – 3-4 oz.
- Wash cloths
- Hand towels (no dish towels)
- Shampoo – 12-19 oz.
- Deodorant – 2-3 oz. (stick, roll on, pump)
- Scrub brushes
- Gallon resealable plastic bags
Items will be collected at church during the month of May.
