Happy New Year from your Missions Committee!
The Pastor’s Emergency Fund will no longer be providing money for the Micro Pantry. The Missions Committee is asking the congregation for help to keep the Micro Pantry going. It has helped so many families get through difficult times.
Because Missions does not get a budget, we are asking that if you can, please donate money so our pantry shoppers can keep the totes stocked. All you would have to do is write a check for any amount, put “Missions/Micro Pantry” in the “memo” section and turn it in with your offering. If you have giving envelopes, you can add the donation amount to your offering amount and specify the pantry amount on the “other” line. Thank you for your support!
We would like to thank Ed and Blanche Schuck for shopping for the Micro Pantry each week for 2024! We so appreciate you! Thank you to all who have donated food to the pantry, too! For our collection for Together We Cope we received a total of 23 gift cards, 21 clothes items & pajamas, 103 gifts for a total of 147 Christmas donations!! Thank you to our congregation for being so generous. Many children were blessed by you! You have also helped Together We Cope by donating 70 boxes/bags of cereal for their food pantry!
We are collecting personal care items for our collection for Together We Cope in January. For example: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, etc. We will collect these items on the weekend of Jan. 18 & 19.
More thanks to everyone who volunteered their time in 2024 to help at Operation Blessing, The Bridge Teen Center and LAMP-Feed My Starving Children! We are looking forward to more “serving opportunities” in 2025! God bless you all!!
Yours in Christ,
Genie Lang, Chairperson
