GETTING INVOLVED

Opportunities are available for men and women, young adult and more mature to get involved in the church. We are always open to new members. Listed below are some of the ways you can get involved.

WORK DAY East (Oak Forest) Campus Moving some heavy items Contact Jim Simmons or June Ohlson
	NURSERY HELPERS WANTED Can you help our young church families? We need summer nursery attendants. If you can sign-up for even one Sunday morning this summer, it would be greatly appreciated. You would need to be Safe Sanctuary approved and we try to have attendants serve in teams of two. Please sign up in the narthex or call Kitty Chapple for more information.
TASTE OF ORLAND PARK Volunteer to help represent our church at the Taste of Orland Park on Friday, August 6, 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm Saturday, August 7, 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm Sunday, August 8, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Contact Jan Shaulis for more information
	USHERING The ushering schedule for 2010 will be determined monthly. Please sign-up on the ushering list for a month at a time. we currently have a need for eight persons per Sunday to pass the offering plates. Contact Jim Simmons if you have any questions on ushering or are willing to help as a substitute.
DON'T FORGET OUR FOOD PANTRY! Each week we will alternate between donating food to the Orland Park Food Pantry and Together We Cope. Each Sunday please bring nonperishable food items to Church at Marcus to help stock these area food pantries.
	COOKIES, COOKIES, COOKIES Please sign up to bring 4-5 dozen cookies one Sunday in May or June. In order to have a nice hospitality table, we need goodies. Sign up on a clipboard at the reception table. Contact Dolores Genis if you have any questions.
WANTED... COUNTING TEAMS NEEDED to count after church on Sundays or Mondays after 8:30am. Please prayerfully consider joining a Counting Team. Training will be provided to you. Attention to details is a must. There is a rotating time period of 2 months per year. One month in the 1st half of the year and one month in the 2nd half of the year. See Brenda Madding if you any questions.
	GREETERS We are in need of Greeters. for Sunday mornings. If you are able to be at church about 9:00am to welcome people as they enter from the outside, please sign up on the clipboard at the registration table or call Beth Bryce.
