Autobiography

Rev. Caleb Yong Min Hong is the lead pastor at Faith United Methodist Church in Orland Park. As a pastor's kid, he spent his childhood in two countries (South Korea, United States) and four states (Louisiana, Wisconsin, New York, and Iowa) before graduating from Bettendorf High School (Bettendorf, IA). He earned a B.A. degree from Grinnell College (Grinnell, IA) and a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington D.C.).

His passion is connecting people with Jesus Christ and empowering them to become the men and women God created them to be. He loves to sing, eat, play sports, and hang out with his two daughters (Lydia and Abigail). He is married to Rev. Sarah Hong.

Biography

Rev. Melissa Meyers serves as the associate pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Orland Park. She has grown up in the Northern Illinois area and attended school in the Midwest. She earned her Associates in Arts Degree from Rock Valley Community College, BA in Religious Studies & Communication from the University of Dubuque (Dubuque, IA) and Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH). In addition to serving in pastoral ministry, she has also worked with several agencies of the United Methodist Church including projects with: The General Board of Higher Education & Ministry and The Division on Ministry with Young People. Serving as the co-chair for the Northern Illinois Conference Young Adult Ministry Team has provided training and opportunities to resource local churches in young adult ministry.

Pastor Melissa is passionate about youth & young adult ministry and connecting generations together in service for the Kingdom of God. She loves to sing, read, share stories, and coffee!
